Abaco Island

Cat Island

Although this spectacular island is named after the pirate Arthur Catt, we at Amour Affairs prefer to consider it “the cat’s meow” The north shore is unbelievable untamed shoreline.

Cat Island is one of the most beautiful islands, and although not yet overtaken by man and “civilization, there are wonderful resorts and many water sports and activities.

Eleuthera Island

Here as you stand on this narrow overpass, wide enough for single car passage, the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea meet the menaces of the depths of the Atlantic Ocean that expand on the other side. Now easily accessible by major airlines such as Continental directly from Florida, the small settlements that cover this 110 mile island are experiencing new resort developments that endear the island feel and maintain that warm ambiance for you. Enjoy the small Bahamian owned establishments along side the more modern properties.

Fly into Govenor’s Harbour and within a short drive you will find Coco dimama, Cigatoo, and Pineapple Fields. Overlooking the miles of white sand beaches you can visit Unique Village or a number of private home rental properties.

Begin your exploration in North Eleuthera and the world reknowned pink sand beaches of Harbour Island and Dunmore Town. Explore caves that served as a place of refugee to some of the first settlers to the island then called “Eleutheria”, Greek for freedom. Exuma Island

Arguably the most beautiful yachting venue in the world, Exuma boasts pristine reefs, stunning beaches and excellent anchorages.

In George Town Exuma, is the Elizabeth Harbour which extends to 10 miles and includes some of the best soft white beaches in the world .

It houses coral reefs perfect for snorkeling in depths of less than 10 feet and water temperatures above 75 degrees.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Many would call this the 2nd capital of the Bahamas.

With resorts, casinos and a ship port, even those coming on cruises can get married in the Bahamas or as many do, renew your vows to the one you love.
Located in the heart of Freeport is the International Bazaar with a host of shops featuring places around the world. The popular Westin and Our Lucaya Hotel and Isle of Capri casino is situated across for Port Lucaya, a waterfront spot with shops, restaurants and night life.

Harbour Island

Located just off the northern tip of main land Eleuthera is the world known Harbour Island, more fondly called Briland. Long Island

LONG describes this 76 mile long island of unspoiled, tranquil, and scenic hideaway divided by the Tropic of Cancer and bordered by two strikingly different coastlines.

On one side you will enjoy powder white beaches that are a contrast to rocky head lands that descend suddenly into the sea.
